Researchers grow human cells with organ-on-a-chip

MIT-Tec workshop

From papers to patients in just four years! Since the alliance celebrated between Tec de Monterrey university and MIT, new opportunities arise. For instance, the creation of the workshop “Organs-On-A-Chip and Drug Delivery Trends for Future Personalized Medicine.”

Researchers from both universities taught the workshop at Tec, located in Monterrey city. Twenty professors from Tec de Monterrey are now able to design micro devices and cultivate cells.

“This effort adds value to our ongoing collaboration. Results from the sabbaticals, research stays, and workshops are now visible. Me and my colleagues feel fortunate to be part of the team,” said Roberto Parra-Saldívar, professor researcher from the School of Engineering and Sciences and leader of this workshop.
